The Contis

This is the true story of the struggle of 1200 workmen against the financial strategy of a multinational firm, Continental. Off-stage, they move forward their pawns, use every possible means to avoid traps with sense and courage. The human adventure goes well beyond news headlines: it reveals the “Conti Tribe” facing a huge challenge in which their lives are at stake. A simple unionist, Xaxier Mathieu, embodies the working class struggle. Their view of work, society and the crisis is both relevant and acute. In what is partly a documentary, partly fiction, they play their own roles.
