The documentary portrays the Magnum photographer René Burri, who was born in Zürich in 1933. Among his most famous photographs are portraits of Che Guevara, Pablo Picasso and Le Corbusier. His book on “The Germans”, in which he developed a close look at Postwar Germany , has become a classic in the history of photography. Burri worked for the major magazines of his time, such as Life, Look, Paris Match, Stern and the New York Times. With his Swiss passport, he travelled all over the world and became a witness of the cold war in the Eastern and the Western world.
