It Should Have Been Nice After That

The woman committed suicide in 1974. In 1997, the film director visits the woman’s husband. He still lives in the same apartment he moved into with his wife and child 41 years ago. Everything is almost exactly as it was four decades ago. The man is the director’s father. She films him with her DV camera for the next two and half years. She observes, asks questions, and even accompanies him on a boat trip. The more her father talks, the more we seem to understand her mother.
